Our Suppliers
Exceptional food starts with great ingredients. At Jessica Leah Catering we are passionate about provenance. We use only the finest ingredients sourced from our network of inspiring local artisanal food producers, handpicked for their commitment to delivering the very best, sustainable fresh food.
Fish
As a fish supplier I use, and have used for years, Fruits de Mer in Broadstairs. I have a lot of respect for this business.
Jason Llewellyn has owned it for thirty years, since when he was just 17, and has been working there since he was 11. There is always a huge variety of fresh fish available and it’s mostly local, and always fantastic.
Meat
My meat supplier is Worgan’s Butchers. They’re based in Coldred, just by Dover, and they sell their meat at the Good’s Shed in Canterbury. All the meat is sourced from local farmers and it’s all butchered in Kent.
I’m able to order a wide variety of meats and I never need to worry about the quality.

Vegetables
I don’t have one vegetable supplier – I like to shop around. I also have friends with allotments who love to come to me with their offerings. I visit Macknade in Faversham for speciality veg and I use John Prentis in Ramsgate who helps me when I can’t quite find what I’m looking for with regular night time trips to the market.
Cheese
I love it when my customers order a cheeseboard. I put my heart and soul into my cheeseboards – visiting Macknade in Faversham and tasting a vast selection before choosing what I feel is best for that particular customer.
I also like to use Curd and Cure – an independent, family run retailer in Cranbrook, who deliver straight to my door in those busier weeks! I make all my own chutneys and pickles for the boards.

Bread
I knew that when I came across the bread of the Viking Bakehouse in Ramsgate, I would never look back. Russell Sullivan started this small business in which he is the sole baker, so I am guaranteed consistency when I want it and inconsistency when I need something new. Wherever I serve this bread I am asked about it and I always order an extra loaf for the home!
